dnsimons46: Founded in 1993 as a 'bricks and mortar' shop, Big River Mercantile has evolved over the years and become an online merchant selling and shipping fine antiques and vintage collectibles all over the world. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, Big River Mercantile continues to offer its items through its Etsy shop as well as restoration and repair services in its Illinois workshop. History and origin have always been a passion of ours and this blog will feature timely articles and information relevant to collecting and identifying antiques in this challenging environment. When we know it, we'll also detail the story behind specific items that we offer in the shop.
